Exciting Day!

I show up at school today to see that one of my favorite tv shows, Flashpoint was using one of our buildings as a set for an upcoming episode! I have to admit that I skipped out on my class and just watched the filming instead, I was just so excited! Jeff usually meets me outside after class but today I told him to park and come in instead to check out the action. We ended up getting to meet Enrico Colantoni (you may know him from Just Shoot Me or Veronica Mars also) and having our picture taken! He was super nice but really exhausted, he told us it had been a long few days of filming but he gladly posed for the photo and even wanted to see how it looked after. :)

God I look like such a dork, I was embarassingly starstruck.

My husband surprised me with these pretty roses and we'll be going across the border on Monday for a little shopping and a nice dinner at The Melting Pot, which I have always wanted to try and I'm pretty excited about it!

Baby Cassidy

Remember Sarah and Andrew's wedding last May? Well miss Cassidy was still a bun in the oven then. Although you could hardly tell, Sarah looked amazing! I finally got the chance to photograph her and her big sister Kailey this weekend and we had a great time. These girls are so beautiful, check out the big blue eyes!

I can't get over her eyes and her cute hair that is always sticking straight up. What a doll!

I originally met Leah at Cedarvale park a year ago, as we both bring our dogs there often, this year she contacted me for a family shoot in the same park. It's absolutely stunning there in the Fall, and is a place that is special to the whole family, especially for Cooper (he's the big furry guy). Aren't they just the most gorgeous family?

Every picture I took today was awful. Out of focus and noisy...ugh! I'm still experimenting with different settings so it's going to be a lot of trial and error. I watched a DVD on working with Nikon DSLR's so that should help too. Anyway here are some of the best of the worst, taken at my brother in law's birthday.

I bought my camera yesterday, a Nikon D200 with 18-135mm lens. I am very excited to start my journey into the world of photography! I thought it would be best to get my camera a few months before school started so that I could get comfortable with it and learn as much as possible on my own. I took many pictures yesterday and most of them were terrible, but I liked a few of them.
