Oh Christmas Tree

Here's our tiny little Christmas tree. We couldn't fit our 7 foot tree in the apartment so we picked up this little 3 footer for this year.

Nichole's Portraits

My latest assignment, 3 portraits each with a different look and theme. One headshot, one with shallow depth of field and one that shows motion. Nichole was a great model, we got some awesome shots!

Ok so technically I did not take this shot, my husband did. However I did set up the shot and do the editing, so I get partial credit. I'm absolutely in love with it though and wish I could take full credit...alas those are my hands.

A Few Pics From The Park

Well we've made the move, I have started school and things are going really well. We're enjoying life here and today we took a walk in a beautiful park near our home. I took a few shots of it.

New beginnings coming soon...

In less than 1 week I will be moving to a new city and then starting photography school a few days after. My journey begins so soon! It's an exciting but stressful time.

Day 2

Every picture I took today was awful. Out of focus and noisy...ugh! I'm still experimenting with different settings so it's going to be a lot of trial and error. I watched a DVD on working with Nikon DSLR's so that should help too. Anyway here are some of the best of the worst, taken at my brother in law's birthday.

So the journey begins...

I bought my camera yesterday, a Nikon D200 with 18-135mm lens. I am very excited to start my journey into the world of photography! I thought it would be best to get my camera a few months before school started so that I could get comfortable with it and learn as much as possible on my own. I took many pictures yesterday and most of them were terrible, but I liked a few of them.
